The Local Governing Body of Ely St Mary’s C of E Junior School comprises:
- up to 8 community governors appointed by the Diocese of Ely Multi-Academy Trust
- 2 Staff Members (elected by the staff community)
- 2 Parent Members (elected by the parent community)
- the Headteacher
- there is a place reserved for an incumbent nominee from the local church
There are opportunities for parents to meet with the Chair of Governors on our Partnership Consultation Evenings. At other times, please make contact with the Clerk to the Governors via School Office. The Chair of the Local Governing Body is always interested to hear from people interested in becoming governors. There are no specific qualifications needed - your commitment, experience and willingness to learn are what are required.
If you are interested in becoming a school governor, and would like to find out more about the role, we would be delighted to arrange for you to have an informal chat with our Chair of Governors. Please contact the Clerk to the Local Governing Body of Ely St Mary's C of E Junior School via the School Office.
