Admissions

Joining Our School

If you would like your child to become a pupil at Ely St Mary’s CofE Junior School you will need to make an application to the Admissions Department of Cambridgeshire County Council.

This is the case whether your child will be joining at the beginning of Year 3, or part-way through Key Stage 2. Pupils wishing to transition to St Mary’s at the start of Year 3, there is no automatic transfer to a junior school; an application must be made.

Applications generally open during the Autumn Term preceding the September of planned entry, and parents are advised to apply during the first round of applications, which generally closes in January.

St Mary’s hosts an Open Morning during the Autumn Term so as to give parents of prospective Year 3 pupils the opportunity of finding out about our junior school, and of looking around.
